"Part of our “drought years series”, we were lucky enough to get some zin from our friends up at Porter Creek in Sonoma. Old vines biodynamically farmed right on the Russian River. Apple trees planted around the block with Geese roaming through the rows, a beautiful place! We brought the zin home and made it our style, whole cluster skin maceration with half ageing in extreme neutral Italian Terracotta amphora and half in old neutral oak. You can actually taste the Zin varietal which is quite lovely."
