"Trinity Canyon winery was founded in 2009. The winery and vineyards are located in the southernmost Armenian wine region, Vayots Dzor, a mountainous region with a long history of grape growing in the shadow of Mount Ararat. The cold winters and snow-covered slopes yield to extreme heat with temperatures reaching over 110°F in the height of summer. The vineyards are at high elevation between 1400 meters—1700 meters so the cool nights provide relief from the intense summer heat. Soil here is mostly volcanic with some limestone. This wine is made from the white grape Voskehat with 5 months skin contact in Karas, traditional Armenian terracotta winemaking vessles buried in the ground."
