Unapologetically hardcore natural Catalonyian wine visionary Carlos Alonso makes crazy delicious and interesting wines. And this is no exception.

"Carlos Alonso moved to the far north of Spain in the mid ‘70s after finding a tiny hamlet called Els Vilars, just north of Espolla. The buildings were all ancient and totally dilapidated and over the following years Carlos and his young family restored the buildings and planted the vineyard.

The first wines were made in the late ‘70s and are now some of the distinctive wines we know of.

They are all picked at full ripeness and then often aged for several years. They are all made in ceramic tanks that Carlos designed and made himself.

It’s relatively mineral and broad and very good with a wide range of food - particularly protein.

Serve from the fridge in to a regular wine glass and then allow it to warm just a little"
