Why is there a kooky cow on the label with wine bottles where utters should be?

Well, this is a bit of a French joke (the French! Notorious for their humor!), as here Herve Villemade presents a liter of imminently drinkable gamay in recycled French milk bottles. 

VERY good for the price - I drank a liter over 3 days (yes, I am bragging) and it held up the entire time. Beautiful.
