"This cuvée has only been produced in 2019, a single variety Macabeau coming from one abandoned vineyard, the farmer intending to remove the vines the following year.
Until there is another special plot of Macabeu, this will remain a very special and individual cuvee. 10 days maceration on skins, majority tank elevage with a small proportion elevaged in barrel also. White stone fruit and florals, it's brimming with life and isn't afraid of oxygen. Lanolin, apple, swede, savoury and earthy undertones with lemon pith and licks of sun kissed peaches. The phenolics are integrated, wrapping themselves around the fruit, beautifully fresh with structure and depth. A wine for thinking, a wine for the cellar, a wine special and unique."
