"Full of fresh turned earth, a quick decant reveals forest leaves and a herbaceous character, then fruit comes; pickled blackberry and fig. What a wine. Sam is a true natural winemaker. From Australia to California, Sicily and back again, Sam Vinciullo has taken his time to find his winemaking home. Having worked with the likes of Sicilian wine making icon Frank Cornelissen, Sam came back home and proceeded to build his winery. Build being a strong word, as he used to make wine from a tent, until it finally became a hand built shack. He does everything himself, farming and making. Nothing added, nothing taken away.
